Pocket Network announces a new sovereign rollup, using Rollkit and Celestia’s modular data availability layer. Also the rebrand of the original gateway (now Grove) to make space for a wave of new gateways. The first of these is NodiesDLB, built by ex-AWS engineers and providing the second access point to Pocket’s decentralized RPC infrastructure.
This is going to speed up and future-proof the long-term roadmap of Pocket Network while improving scalability, security, and interoperability.
With peaks of up to 2bn requests a day, and supporting access to over 40 blockchains, Pocket Network has pioneered decentralized infrastructure since launching its mainnet in 2020. Michael O’Rourke, co-founder of Pocket Network and now CEO of Grove said, “By introducing more gateways, we ensure that developers can access data in a more censorship-resistant, reliable, performant, and cost-effective manner.
