Most people assume L1s aren’t necessarily part of the modular stack.

However, Linera has a very interesting model of parallelization (almost like sharding) for scaling their execution environment

They have a model called dual user latency transactions, which allows for high TPS through a concept called microchannels.

Furthermore, Linera’s vision extends into crafting an environment where independent user accounts and objects can interact without the constraints of traditional blockchain networks.
