To start this week off, we’re diving into the fascinating modular world (what a surprise!) with an interview with Jake Kim, founder of an up and coming project in the liquidity/interoperability space, Mitosis!

If you’ve ever used Hyperlane’s nexus bridge, then you’ve interacted with Mitosis underneath.

Mitosis is creating a modular liquidity layer enabling seamless movement of assets while increasing your capabilities to use your assets in various L2s.

These miAssets will be integrated into DeFi ecosystems on through the upcoming “Expedition” campaign, offering opportunities for Eigen points, other LRT points, cross-chain fees, Mitosis points, and DeFi rewards from LP’ing in DEXs.

This is a new project in the modular space, but they’ve built a CosmWASM implementation of Hyperlane from scratch and are pushing in the modular vertical.
